A Summer to Remember: BGCP Opens Free Summer Camp Registration

The Boys & Girls Club of the Plateau is kicking off another unforgettable season, and Summer Camp registration is officially open at all three locations: the Cashiers Club, the Highlands Club, and the Abell Teen Club.

For the second year in a row, BGCP is proud to offer FREE Summer Camp memberships for youth entering 1st through 12th grade. That means a full summer of adventure, discovery, and connection at no cost to families.

Camp runs Monday, June 8th, through Friday, August 7th, with hours from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Throughout nine exciting weeks, campers will dive into new interests, build confidence, and make friendships that last long after summer ends.

Each day brings something new. From hands-on projects and creative arts to high-energy games and team challenges, camp is designed to keep kids active, engaged, and inspired. Whether they are hiking local trails, cooling off on Water Day, or showing off their talents, every moment is packed with fun and growth.

Programming includes swimming, outdoor exploration, art, book club, garden club, and STEM activities. Campers will also head out on exciting field trips, including visits to the Highlands Biological Station, The Bascom, and lots of other local community partners. Expect rocket launches, wildlife exploration, and even outings to area country clubs.

Teens have their own unique experiences focused on independence and future goals. From workforce development and career exploration to cooking classes and technology workshops, the Abell Teen Club helps teens build real-world skills while having a great time. They will visit local businesses, explore career paths, and gain confidence through hands-on learning.

This is more than just a summer camp. It is a place where fun meets purpose, and every child has the chance to thrive.
